Ready, Zest, GO!

Head of Zest 4 Leisure Direct, Simon Davison is bravely taking on the Chester Marathon, raising money for our chosen 2018 charity, Action for Children.

Several employees from the P&A Group of Companies will tackle the challenging 26 mile course on Sunday, October 7th. Managing Director, Steve Morgan and Fencing & Timber Technical Manager, John Vaughan are amongst the brave contenders.

With almost £7,000 raised since January, we hope to reach our £10,000 target before the end of the year.

Head of Zest 4 Leisure Direct, Simon Davison comments:

“This is my second and definitely last marathon. I ran the Chester marathon last year and remember how tough it was both mentally and physically. Despite vowing to never put myself through it again, I decided to give it one last go for what is a very worthy cause, before hanging up my marathon running shoes for good.

Taking Action for Action for Children

In addition to running the Chester Marathon, the P&A team have completed a number of different fundraising challenges and activities. Events have included the London Marathon, a charity golf day, Ironman Wales and even an ‘It’s a Knockout’ obstacle course.

Managing Director at P&A, Steve Morgan comments:

“I am delighted that so many team members are running the Marathon this year. Their commitment to the training sessions that we have put on has been very impressive.

We anticipate everyone will make it over the finish line and hope to raise a lot of money for Action for Children.”

Show your support

In the UK alone over 1.5 million children are suffering from neglect. Action for children provide help for those who need it most.

Even the smallest donation can go a long way towards helping these children. Just £5.00 could pay for emergency overnight support for a young person on the verge of homelessness. £10 can help pay for swimming or hydrotherapy sessions for children suffering with a disability. £20 can help pay for food parcels and £50 can fund a one-to-one counselling session for a child who has been abused.

Donations can be made directly or through our company’s fundraising page HERE.
